Rural mail carrier cars, 1920's. Left to Right, Mr. Clements, Herman Langham, Henry Brewer, unidentified black man with white horse and mail bags. Notice the crude hand painted sign that says "Post Office" on a plank helping support the awning in the upper left, and the Presbyterian church in the background. There appears to be a clock on the church steeple. This picture was taken where the barber shop was in the 1960's, and later Wortham's insurance company, across from the bank. Incidentally, the bank is located where the old livery stable used to be.
